Watch Dr. Amat Explain How To Reduce SIDS Risk

March 26th, 2017 by Dr. Amat

Before starting her own Direct Primary Care practice, Dr. Belen Amat has been providing quality pediatric care to West Michigan for years.

In the video below, which aired on WOOD TV8 back in 2011, Dr. Amat explains some of the causes of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and gives recommendations to new parents to drastically reduce their child’s risk. Watch the news spot on YouTube below:

One of the steps new parents can take to protect their newborn infant is by laying them on their back during naps or before bedtime, or the “Back To Sleep” method. Another is removing any extra blankets, stuffed animals, toys, or objects from the crib, and giving infants a pacifier.

If you’re looking for quality pediatric care for your infant or child in West Michigan, contact Direct Primary Care of West Michigan by email or call (616) 202-4088.
